It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.
Appliances can exist big, heavy and expensive. You lot probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to set up them in a crisis. If you can spare a few yard dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they pause tomorrow, don't purchase a warranty. Simply if you're like well-nigh of us, protect yourself past purchasing cheap extended warranties when you purchase a new product and relieve yourself big money in the long run.

Replaced a xx year old Jenn Air with this unit. Bully pattern for a downdraft range. Like beingness able to move pots over the unabridged top. Very easy to clean. Large burnets are very hot. Only complaint is I wish the burners had more aligning to the low side.

New stove
Ohio bloodhound 11/30/2019
Well aforementioned old story old gen-air and needed to replace with a downdraft. Only have had it for a few days, so a bit early on for a review. The grill on top has already lost some luster later on the first use. That's non a big bargain for me, it's a tool and I'm going to utilize it every bit such. Installation is a bit tricky every bit everything was the opposite from the jen-air. That'south just how that goes. I like the high heat equally we do a lot of Asian style cooking. We accept it set up in an Island and the unit of measurement is deeper, thus can no longer put the oil'south and spices at the dorsum of the unit. The oven fan does run a little long for cooling the unit of measurement down in tandem with the time for preheating. Sounds like a lot of negatives when I put it downwardly on paper, just the unit of measurement feels solid and hopefully it will stand the exam of time. If so these other bumps are insignificant; just got to get utilise to them.

I Dearest this range! Very well built, excellent features and who doesn't love the wonderful downdraft fan??? The but problem I accept found is that the knobs don't always stay LOCKED in the OFF position. Several times they accept been ON just a piffling fleck and I have smelled gas. Fortunately, I accept caught this in time, though one fourth dimension the odor of gas woke me up! I am very conscientious to check to make certain the knobs are in the OFF position.

Best DownDraft Range on the Market place
Marmy 11/14/2019
We have been using the range for just about a month and and so far we are very pleased with the range and its features. The gas cooktop is well fabricated and operates smashing as does the oven. We have to exist very careful with stainless steel cooktop to prevent scratches, dents and staining of the stainless steel. And then far, information technology has non been a problem as we typically take skillful care of our appliances. I would highly recommend this appliance if you need a downdraft slide-in range.

Questionable Burner Effectiveness
El Channan eleven/xi/2019
I regret purchasing this blazon of stove with its respective shortcomings. The front burners put out a tremendous amount of flame and BTU's; yet, 1 cannot turn them down to a low setting to simmer something that'due south hot. If one uses the downdraft feature, even at depression, and so much heat is shunted out the vent that it barely is effective. In addition, information technology is so noisy that a conversation is hard. If i uses the rear burners with the downdraft feature activated, the cooking time is multiplied to many times as long every bit a normal cooking time would take, effectively making them useless.

Don't purchase this range! The control panel is a very poor design, information technology takes forever to preheat, burners are not capable of simmering and the Aqualift 'Cleaning' engineering science is a joke; it apartment out does non work. I am sad I purchased this, it has been very disappointing.

Squeamish stove
Cmercer 11/4/2019
The stove arrived packaged nicely. No scratches or dings. We had to order an adapter cord for our outlet to match the one on the stove, to go on from rewiring. Not a deal billow. We are replacing a Jenn-Air downvent purchased in 1996. There wan't anything wrong w/ the JA. When remodeling our kitchen, we were redesigning the island, and it volition not be an easy access repair if the JA went downwards. So we decided to replace it, hoping for equally much good luck for the many years due west/ the Kitchen-Aid that we had westward/ the JA.

Downdraft, has cooktop and electric/convection oven. Have had it installed for about a month and no existent complaints. Yes if you take a tall pot on cooktop the downdraft struggles to catch the vapors. I plan to brand a stainless steel scoop to extend the height of the downdraft equally another reviewer suggested. Still have lots of features to try out. I do wish it had one more than powerful burner considering I frequently cook with a wok and it takes a while to heat up the wok where it needs to be.

I prefer a gas oven. We had no pick because we needed a downdraft, slide in oven for our small kitchen. The gas stove is wonderful and spacious, but the oven heats up a bit slowly and I volition need to adjust to cooking with information technology. Also, the fan that cools it down, mail service-cooking is a bit loud. Again, this product is conspicuously well made, only I had preferences that couldn't be fulfilled because of our set upwardly. Kitchen Aid is a go to brand.

Love / hate the downwards draft
katwoman 6/17/2019
I really like my new range, however, there is ane small outcome that I don't similar. Whenever I use the downdraft information technology pulls the flame towards that direction so one side of the pan I am cooking with gets hotter than the other side. Therefore, I have to constantly motion the food around for even cooking.

We had a xl twelvemonth one-time Jenn Aire downdraft and I wanted a new stove. Installation was a nightmare as the gas line and electrical had to be moved 10" and our granite had to be shaved one/eight". But the stove is in and works well, with a much bigger oven than our Jenn Aire.

Nosotros purchased all KitchenAid appliances during our 2016 kitchen remodel. We bought this two months ago to replace a 15 year old Jenn Air dual fuel downdraft and this unit of measurement is every bit fabulous every bit information technology is flawless. Wonderful top grate system. I especially similar the "Keep Warm" feature that holds foods at 170 degrees. The installation of the downdraft blower, even replacing some other downdraft, is non a DIY projection so I recommend having that part professionally done. The fan is very strong even with a long run of venting. Great machine.

Buyer Beware!
RebeccaG 5/15/2019
I purchased this range in November. Past Apr, I was on my third ready of replacement grates, due to scratching immediately upon using the grates. Scratched grates within 1 use? I exclusively use stainless steel pots and pans. Surely, I felt Whirlpool would make this situation "correct." I was wrong! Customer service offered to send me one more set of the same grates. The customer service representative actually suggested that I purchase another set to employ when I accept visitor or am non cooking!!! I explained this wasn't for "show" it was dissatisfaction for a product I spent a lot of coin on. Highly dissatisfied with this purchase and by and large, highly dissatisfied with customer service's response.

If yous need a slide-in, dual energy, downdraft range there are not many choices. This model is head and shoulders to a higher place our previous. LMGS 4/29/2019
I bought a Kitchenaid dual fuel 4 burner range over 10 years ago. I would never spend money on this again. It has broken down repeatedly over the years, and I have replaced all the parts multiple times. The circuit boards twice, the heating element twice, the inside and outside glass, and problems with the stove elevation. I have no confidence in this product. I accept spent thousands repairing information technology as well. Yous would be better off spending half the money, because you will need a new range in under 10 years.

Works and looks groovy

Very satisfied with our new stove. Make sure the gas, electrical and frazzle duct are in the correct location using on line info prior to purchase/delivery. The oven preheats to cooking temperature in nigh the same time every bit our erstwhile gas stove. The control console controls all functions. The only knobs on the stove are for the iv stove top burners making cleaning easier. Looks great.

I am sooo happy my husband talked me into purchasing Kitchen Assistance appliances. This range is not only beautiful but is easy to operate and cleans up nicely. The gas stovetop cranks. Very pleased

No bottom drawer

Buyers Beware ! No lesser drawer despite of the moving-picture show showing that it has one with the online movie at KitchenAid.com. Customer service confirmed that they have the wrong moving picture posted on their website for this range.

Love the new range, just information technology'southward hard to clean the digital brandish without changing something. I'k constantly clicking on something I didn't mean to. Otherwise looks good and uncomplicated to utilise.
